Author Biography
Henry M. Levin (United States) is the William Heard Kilpatrick Professor of Economics and Education at Teachers College, where he also directs the National Center for the Study of Privatization in Education (NCSPE) and co-directs the Center for Benefit-Cost Studies in Education. He is also the David Jacks Professor of Higher Education, Emeritus, at Stanford University, where he served on the faculty for 31 years, with a joint appointment in the School of Education and Department of Economics. He has been president of the Palo Alto, California, School Board; the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES); and the American Evaluation Association, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Educational Testing Service (ETS). He is an elected member of the National Academy of Education, the author of about 300 articles, and the author or editor of 20 books.
