Testes de alto impacto (high stakes tests) são avaliações que produzem consequências para professores, diretores e estudantes. Usualmente estão associados a prêmios ou punições.
Os Estados Unidos aplicaram esta política dos reformadores empresariais à exaustão. Dentro desta, o papel dos testes de alto impacto ocupa centralidade – alimenta a meritocracia e a accountability. O que é uma febre naquele país, parece que está sendo revisto.
A lista de manifestações contra estes testes na última semana, organizada pelo FairTest, foi divulgada pelo Blog de Valerie Strauss e, segundo ela:
“… é particularmente interessante, mostrando crescente conscientização por educadores e pais em mais de 15 estados sobre o problema do excesso de testes, bem como novas medidas para conter o número e a importância dos testes. Na última semana, vimos a nova legislação introduzida no Congresso para reduzir a obrigatoriedade de testes federais, resoluções de conselho escolar pedindo suspensão de testes de alto impacto, mais líderes educacionais pedindo a reforma dos testes, e muito mais.”
